L&R Returns Policy
At L&R Distributors, our mission is to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for your customers while simplifying processes and reducing costs for your company. L&R values this partnership and appreciates the continued business.
To better serve you, L&R is instituting an updated Returns Policy. This new policy is effective August 4, 2025, and is fully outlined below.
I. Reset Return Policy
a. Prior to each reset activity, L&R will provide an authorized return list-discontinued and obsolete items. This list will be shared with Independents Account to ensure alignment prior to the reset activity.
b. During the reset activity, item(s) returned to the L&R DCs must be included on Independents Account authorized list and processed within the approved time frame.
c. Returns should not include:
Ø Product removed from space reductions.
Ø Product not sold by L&R.
II. Returns Policy outside of Resets
a. Independents Account must provide the request in writing, to L&R Field Merchandising Representative to process a return.
Ø If the item(s) are on the approved return list, and meet the returns requirement, the L&R Merchandising Representative will process during their regularly scheduled visit.
b. The return sheet must include the following information:
Ø Quantity of Item(s).
Ø Dollar value of return.
Ø Number of boxes.
Ø Reason for return.
§ Not on File.
§ Approved Store Refusal.
§ Mis-Ship: Do not mark mis-shipped items, as it may limit resale.
§ Damaged in Transit.
c. Eligibility Criteria
Ø Only items shipped from L&R within the last 12 months are eligible for return.
Ø Returns must exceed $50 per box to qualify.
d. Exceptions & Special Cases
Ø Extreme Damaged Product: If received severely damaged, contact Customer Service with a photo to initiate credit request.
Ø Liquid Items: Returns are not accepted, contact Customer Service with a photo to initiate credit request.
Ø Overstocked products are not eligible for return. Collaborate with your L&R Field Merchandising Representative to improve ordering accuracy.
e. Shortages
Ø For any product shortages contact the Customer Service Hotline. A credit will be issued for products not fulfilled.
