1. INTRODUCTION L. & R. Distributors, Inc. and its affiliated entities, including LR Logistical Solutions LR Logistics - L&R Distributors (lrdist.com), Merchandising LR Merchandising - L&R Distributors (lrdist.com) and Fulfillment Services LR Fulfillment - L&R Distributors (lrdist.com) (collectively, L&R, we, us, or L&R Affiliates) operate commercial enterprises that service businesses (Customers) by providing these commercial customers with consumer packaged products in a variety of types, including, for example, cosmetics, housewares, personal and hair care, school and office, toys, pet and baby non-food products, general merchandise (Consumer Products) and services related to shipping, distribution and fulfillment (L&R Services).
This Privacy Policy covers L&R’s practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing the personal information it receives both online, offline, in hosting its websites, and by electronic communications. This Privacy Policy applies to the following L&R websites: www.eshop.lrdist.com www.thelrway.com www.lrdist.com (Websites) and the Websites’ features, functions, and transactional operations.
L&R and L&R Affiliates’ Websites are not intended for use by children under 18 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals. Residents of certain states under 13, 16, or 18 years of age may have additional rights regarding the collection, selling, and sharing of personal information. Please see U.S. States Consumer Privacy Rights section below for more information.
2. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION. While the definition of “Personal Information” varies across numerous countries and jurisdictions and the applicable law or regulations that apply to such personal information, we choose to broadly define it as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly in particular by reference to an identifier such as name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier (IP address), or to one or more factors specific to the physical, genetic, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person”.
3. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED AND HOW. Personal Information is provided directly to L&R when Customers, users, visitors, and others interact with the Websites; when businesses apply to become a Customer; when Customers place or inquire about orders for Consumer Products or L&R Services; when any person contacts L&R in writing, via e-mail, or telephone calls; when a person applies for a job, when any person responds to a survey or questionnaire or consents to receive L&R direct marketing materials, such as newsletters.
The information that is provided in these interactions is subject to L&R’s data minimization and protection procedures to help us lower the risk of unauthorized access to and/or disclosure outside of the purposes for which is it shared with us.
The categories of Personal Information we collect directly from you includes, but not limited to, the following:
- First and Last Name
- Company Name
- Mailing Address (Street, Suite, City, State, and Zip Code)
- Telephone Number
- Email Address
In the Customer application process, the following additional categories of business information is requested:
- Names and Email Addresses of designated Company Users
- Type of Customer (brick & mortar, ecommerce, or other online distributor)
- Customers estimated monthly order volumes
- Customers business registration jurisdiction
- Categories of Customer Products
- Source of referral to L&R
- Company tax information (tax identification and reseller numbers)
In the job application process, L&R collects the Personal Information associated with a job application and/or resume, including:
- Your first and last names
- Contact information
- Work history, education information, skills, professional and work-related licenses
- Work authorization status
- Cover letter
- References
- Information that is available publicly
L&R uses an algorithmic enhanced job applicant screening product.
In the Website interaction process, L&R may also collect certain information by automated means that may indirectly identify you. Please click here to learn more about the tracking technologies involved in the Websites.
4. TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES USED IN TARGETED ADVERTISING. Some laws, including certain United States (US) States consumer privacy and protection laws require that the covered natural persons where such laws apply be given a right to opt-out of receiving targeted advertising. As L&R is a business-to-business distributor of certain curated products made, manufactured, or sold by other businesses, it generally does not engage in consumer target marketing. However, please see the section entitled How We Share Personal Information, to learn more about L&R’s service providers and merchants, and other data sharing arrangements that may include your personal information.

5. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION. The data, including personal information contained in that data, will be used by L&R in several ways depending, in part, on the context of our interactions.
To provide L&R Products and Services. L&R uses data and information it collects to provide its Customers with L&R Services and Consumer Products. This may include:
- To evaluate initial account-opening applications, including assessment of business legitimacy for Customer status.
- To create, administer, and communicate with Customers and Customer applicants.
- To process Customer orders, order tracking, and providing ongoing support of Customers’ accounts.
- To provide Customers with support and to respond to inquiries. This may include the use of chatbots. Please note that chatbot inquires and responses may transcribed and retained.
- To display both L&R and third-party sponsored advertising materials, which may include active links to those third-parties’ websites. See: How L&R Shares Data and Information
- To contact you and to coordinate with L&R Affiliates, including LR Logistical Solutions LR Logistics - L&R Distributors (lrdist.com), Merchandising LR Merchandising - L&R Distributors (lrdist.com) and Fulfillment Services LR Fulfillment - L&R Distributors (lrdist.com) that support L&R’s mission to bring efficiency and savings to Customers’ supply chains.
To support and improve L&R’s Operations. The data and information that is shared with L&R by its Customers and Website users and visitors help L&R to continually enhance its business operations. Examples of this usage include:
- To maintain L&R facilities and infrastructure and comply with internal policies, including accounting, audit, and other internal functions.
- To measure, maintain and improve L&R’s services, to develop new products and services, conducting research and surveys.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards and enforce L&R’s Terms of Service rights.
- To maintain records, conduct risk and security controls and monitoring.
- To notify of changes in L&R’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other policies.
- To evaluate candidacy and otherwise interact with job applicants.
- To complete a merger or sale of assets or other corporate transaction.
To allow service providers to assist L&R in providing and managing L&R’s Customers’ services. Information and data that is collected may be made available to certain service providers, such as contractors, chatbot providers [?], analytics and other measurement companies, agents or sponsors, who help L&R analyze and understand how Website users and visitors and its Customers’ use L&R’s B2B products and services.
6. HOW L&R SHARES DATA & INFORMATION. L&R and L&R Affiliates do not SELL personal information of any Customers, Website users or visitors in the sense of receiving value in exchange for such information. L&R and L&R Affiliates do, however, disclose data and personal information in certain circumstances, including:
- To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
- To contractors, service providers, and other third parties L&R uses to support its business.
- In the case of a merger, sale of assets, or other business transaction involving L&R and/or any of its Affiliates, to a buyer or other successor in interest.

We may also disclose your personal information:
- To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
- To enforce or apply our Terms of Service and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
- If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of L&R, our Customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
- When it is anonymized or de-identified of personal information.
Choices about how L&R uses and discloses personal information: L&R strives to give Customers, Website visitors, and users choices about the personal information that is provided to it during their interactions with us. Here are some mechanisms businesses and individuals may se to control over their information:
- Tracking Technologies and Advertising. Certain internet browsers allow users to set up controls to refuse cookies or to alert them when cookies are being sent. One example is Google Analytics Advertising Features that include Google Ads. To opt out of being traced by Google Analytics across internet channels visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout . Other opt out means include NAI Consumer Opt Out (networkadvertising.org).
- Direct Email Unsubscribing. Customers with L&R accounts can opt out simply by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the promotional emails sent by L&R. Note, however, that Customers cannot unsubscribe from emails that involve order processing communications. Additionally, please see the How To Contact Us section below for further information regarding communication matters.
- Promotional Offers from L&R. If you do not wish to have your email address used by the Company to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt-out by logging into the Website and adjusting your user preferences in your account profile by checking or unchecking the relevant boxes or by sending us an email stating your request to info@lrdist.com. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions. This opt out does not apply to information provided to the Company as a result of a product purchase, warranty registration, product service experience or other transactions.
Third-Party Collection or Use: Our Websites include links to social media websites, including Facebook and LinkedIn, and L&R does not control how such third parties collect or use personal information that is disclosed to them in whatever fashion and L&R is not responsible for such providers’ privacy practices, which we recommend that your review. These third parties may use cookies, (alone or in conjunction with web beacons and other tracking technologies) to collect information about you when you use the Websites.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals. Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do Not Track (DNT) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology stands for recognizing and responding to DNT signals has been finalized. As such, L&R do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that L&R must comply with, L&R will revise this Privacy Policy and update you through that process.
In the case of the Global Privacy Control (GPC signals) that automatically communicate your choice not to be tracked online, some U.S. States require covered businesses to recognize and respond to GPC signals, L&R intends to comply with such applicable laws.
7. UNITED STATES CONSUMER PRIVACY RIGHTS. As of the date of this Privacy Policy update, several U.S. States have enacted and are enforcing consumer-oriented privacy protection laws and regulations. As of the date of this Privacy Policy, those states are: California, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Montana, Texas, and Oregon and five more – Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah – will have laws in effect by 2025.
L&R is endeavoring to be in continuous compliance with such laws and regulations as apply to it and as are available to residents of such U.S. States. L&R encourages residents of U.S. States that have enacted effective consumer privacy and protection laws to learn about how their states laws apply and what rights such residents have under those laws.
General Consumer Privacy Rights. Under current effective U.S. States’ Consumer Privacy Laws and Regulations, residents of the applicable U.S. States have the following rights:
- Right to know whether or not we are processing your personal information.
- Right to access your personal data.
- Right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- Right to request the deletion of your personal data.
- Right to obtain a copy of your personal data previously shared with us.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
- Right to opt out of the processing of your personal data if it used for targeting advertising (or sharing as defined under California’s privacy laws), the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

8. INTERNATIONAL PRIVACY LAWS. L&R and L&R Affiliates are U.S. based companies and the data and personal information they collect, process, store, use, and otherwise manage is done in the United States. By using L&R’s services, you acknowledge your personal information will be processed in the United States.
9. INFORMATION SECURITY. To help protect the privacy of data and personally identifiable information sent to us through the Websites, we maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis. We limit access to your personal data to those employees who need to know that information to provide benefits or services to you. We also train employees on the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information.
Customer Account Security. We ask Customers to assist in maintaining information security by using unique passwords; protecting account log-in details by not sharing or exposing such information to anyone else; and accessing accounts from devices that have an up-to-date operating system and security software on its own.
10. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy. It is L&R’s policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the applicable Websites home pages. If there are material changes as to how L&R treats its Customers and Website users' and visitors’ personal information, L&R will notify you by email to the primary email address specified in your account and/or through a notice on the Websites’ home pages. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our Websites and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
